College Magazine Questionnaire Analysis

Before making our college magazine we circulated a questionnaire around the college for our audience research. We surveyed people around the college, 50% of them male and 50% of them female and found out a lot of things that would help us with the base of our magazine.

We found that 90% of people don’t read the current college magazine which shows us that the magazine isn’t doing its job and isn’t getting to the target audience. We also asked people on what they would like to see in a college magazine and they mainly answered with fashion, music, job advice, news and sport. Furthermore 60% of people said they would like a college magazine produced for every month and 60% said that they wouldn’t pay for the magazine, so you may be able to put a small price on it after a couple of issues. Plus, 40% of people would be prepared to contribute to the magazine. Additionally, people said they wanted bright colours, bold titles, images and artistic styles to be on the front cover of the magazine and finally, the audience told us that they wanted blue, red, pink, white, black and purple to be used on the front cover of the college magazine.

From this I can see that I am going to put fashion, music, job advice, news and sport into the magazine, produce it monthly, not put a price on it, use bright colours, bold titles, images and artistic styles and lastly, I will use blue, white and black throughout the magazine.
