Analysis
I gave my questionnaire to a range of different people, 35% were male and 65% were female. Plus, 5% were Under 14, 75% were 15-25, 5% were 26-35, 10% were 36-45 and 5% were 46+. From this I can see
that my questionnaire mainly speaks for the female audience of an age of 15-25.
Most of the people who completed the questionnaire said that
they purchase magazines every month (35%) so it would probably be better
if I created a monthly magazine. Moreover, most people would be willing to buy
a magazine with a price of £2-£3 and in consequence, I am going to price my
magazine accordingly.
I asked people what kind of things attracted people to the
front cover of a magazine and the most common answer was colours (44%), people and bands (32%) and bold text (16%). This means that I need to focus on colours,
people and bands and bold text on the front cover.
Additionally, I asked people what sort of magazines they
purchased and the results said that 75% of people mainly read music magazines which
means that I should just focus on having a music magazine rather than combining
it with any other theme. When I asked what their favourite music was, 40% people
said that rock was their favourite genre which means that I should make a rock magazine.
I then asked them if they preferred text or image based magazines
and 90% of people said that they would prefer a mixture of both text and images,
therefore, I should use this is my magazine. Finally, I asked people how often
they attended live gigs; most people said that they attend gigs every year.
